A perfectly functional and simple Mp3 Player! Has all the basic features you'd expect an Mp3 player app to have (such as looping and shuffling). Super useful... especially since Google forced it's users to go to YouTube Music. Definitely recommended! As far as the 'paid options' go, you only really have to pay for the widget if you want it... which in my opinion, was worth the $1 charge! If that's not important to you, then you can use this as is. If you're looking for an Mp3 player app that works perfectly offline and doesn't stop playing randomly... ditch YouTube Music and give this one a try. It's free, so you have nothing to lose.
Simple. Easy to use. No BS. And Source Code is available so I can audit it and request features. Designed a lot better than many free open source apps (Feels more like it was made by an artist, not a programmer). Picks up the files on my SD Card perfectly, which is the reason I moved away from Vanilla Music, which was good until it stopped letting me play files from my SD Card all of a sudden. Now that Google Music is dead, this is the best good-looking and very similar alternative. And it's all your own music. No external services.
Thank you. Finally an app with no ads. The equilizer choices have been adjusted well. There is no need for those extra sound functions you find in other apps today. If a song quality is different you just switch between preloaded options. Bass is clear, good highs, mids and lows. You can play music while on a phone call. This app is not complicated with unnecersary useless additions. Small download. And honest. I would give 10 stars if there was more stars to give. Appreciated 🙏
The latest redesign is so good I have to post a review. I am a simple man with simple needs and this app hits the mark on everything. It is mildly time consuming to create playlists one song at a time (as it tends to be with any app), but being able to automatically play by artist or album with no prior setup is absolutely golden. Only bare essential permissions required, a very minimalist design, and super easy to use. Honestly I am not sure what more I could ask for.
Excellent music player app. Handles unlossy WAV files with ease. Tabs for playing music by album, by all tracks, by playlist, and so on. I was impressed by how this app sorted WAV files (without metadata) by using file name for track and folder name for album. Playback quality is equal to the built-in music app on my phone. Sorts and lists tracks better than the built-in app on my phone. Slick to use and not overloaded with features you never use. Highly recommended.
Name says most of what this player is. It should also say great. I simply moved my folder with all my music and album art (19.5 GB) onto my new tablet and installed this player. "Simple Music Player" instantly found, cataloged, and assigned all album art and was playing beautifully in a few minutes through my McIntosh. Thank you very much for taking the time to write this program and share it with others.
